Luminovo’s VESOP assignment and T&C letter contain all the legalese if you’re keen to read them. The most important concepts are:
Vesting: your shares accumulate monthly over 4 years, except that they all expire if you leave within the first year.No value cap for Good Leavers: If you leave Luminovo as a Good Leaver, the value of your vested share options will continue to grow even after you have left the company (in case you’re comparing offers: there are startups out there that are trying to be cheap with you on this specific clause 😉).Full Acceleration: if the company is sold before all your shares are officially vested, they will all be declared vested.Strike Price: the price deducted from the liquidation price of your stock options, set to the nominal value of EUR 0.001 per stock option.Grant structure and the cash-equity trade are in the comp philosophy; your own numbers are in Ledgy
Compensation package: how equity is structured as part of your total compensation package, from your hire grant to top-ups and retention grants, is explained in our ‣.Cash-equity trade: after your first 12 months at Luminovo, you can trade an upcoming base salary increase for additional equity. The rules are in the ‣.Ledgy: your grants, your vesting schedule, and the current share price live in Ledgy. The how-to guide is on the ‣ page.
