🤖 We started with building custom AI solutions for DAX companies

Towards the end of 2017, Timon and Seba decided to return home from Stanford and join forces to build an AI solutions company that should bring the Silicon Valley spirit to corporate Germany.

After one year of intensive AI solution-building and successful projects, the team wanted to have a bigger impact with their very own product, so we started to explore productization opportunities in parallel.

In November 2018, we successfully delivered 30 projects including computer vision applications, natural language processing solutions, and time-series analyses to over a dozen DAX corporations.

<aside> 💡 In 2020, after weeks of various industry explorations, we kicked off our transition away from boutique AI solutions towards a product-oriented company.

⚡ Luminovo goes electronics

<aside> A very impactful AI project with Germany’s largest semiconductor manufacturer Infineon eventually led us to our focus on the electronics industry.

Today, we are the system that transforms the fragmented electronics supply chain into a connected, resilient network.

🎢 Our product development milestones

1️⃣ Launching our quoting software for electronics manufacturers (EMS) The first milestone towards our vision was launching the quoting module targeted toward EMS companies. Our target companies are usually in the high-mix (variety and complexity of products) and low-volume (production volume per product) sector. [Open this toggle for more.]
2️⃣ Extending our product capabilities to PCB suppliers Along our journey, we acquired Electronic Fellows in summer 2021 to expand our product capabilities and include automated design for manufacturability of PCBs and PCBA pricing. [Open this toggle for more.]
